Monrovia, Liberia – As the 14-day ultimatum issued to the government nears its deadline, Chairman of Solidarity and Trust for a New Day (STAND), Mulbah K. Morlu, has announced a critical mass meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the movement’s national headquarters in Congo Town.

The announcement was made via Morlu’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 29. The meeting is expected to bring together organizers, supporters, collaborators, and sympathizers of the “Enough is Enough” protest that took place on July 17.

According to Morlu, the gathering is intended to consolidate planning efforts for a follow-up event dubbed the “Thank You” People’s Event, scheduled for August 4. He described the meeting as essential in maintaining momentum and strategic direction amid what he termed as growing public dissatisfaction with President Joseph Boakai’s administration.

Call for Mass Resistance

Chairman Morlu used the platform to issue a passionate rallying cry, urging Liberians to remain unified and committed to the cause of justice and accountability. He accused the Boakai-led government of exhibiting “continued arrogance” and ignoring the legitimate grievances of the population.

“We will bring them to their knees through the fire of mass resistance and civil disobedience,” Morlu asserted. “And we will not stop until the people’s demands are met.”

He called for “militant defiance and unbreakable unity,” stressing that the movement’s efforts would remain nonviolent but determined in seeking redress for long-standing social and economic issues.

Warning to the Administration

In a strong rebuke of the current political leadership, Morlu warned that failure by the Boakai administration to address the concerns raised during the July 17 protest could have serious consequences for its legitimacy.

“Lead or leave,” he stated bluntly. “Enough is enough.”

As the deadline approaches, political observers are watching closely to see how the government will respond to growing grassroots agitation. The STAND movement has gained traction in recent weeks, particularly among youth and civil society advocates calling for reforms.

With tension rising and expectations high, Wednesday’s mass meeting is likely to set the tone for what could become a new phase of civic mobilization in Liberia’s evolving political landscape.
